6. Education outreach by the Board of Supervisors: on August 24, 2022, the Fairfax County Government News Center published a short article on phasing out gas-powered leaf blowers. Subsequently, in their e-newsletters to constituents, all of the county supervisors, except one, included notices on the desirability of moving away from gas-powered leaf blowers in favor of electric tools, or alternative methods for dealing with leaves.
